Matthew 7 (24-27) where the main theme is building a foundation on the Rock of Christ by hearing His words and obeying them.
Deuteronomy 32:4 reminded me that not only is He the Rock but He is perfect and just in what He does. He is faithful and righteous and true!
2 Samuel 22:47 proclaims in my life that my Lord LIVES and He is the ROCK that is worthy to be praised. He is not just any Rock but He is THE ROCK OF MY SALVATION!
How could I live life without being anchored to the Rock! I will trust in Him when things are sunny and I will trust in Him when things are stormy, knowing that He is faithful and He is my Savior!
A song from my past came to mind called “I AM ON THE ROCK” by a group named Petra (which actually means “rock”). I pray that you will anchor your soul to the only stable thing in this world – Jesus Christ the Solid Rock! “On Christ the Solid Rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand!”
